Bits and Spurs Horse Show Circuit

Members:  Please help with fundraising!  New rules require members to sell $100.00 worth of raffle tickets or aquire $100.00 in sponsorships or work 1 day at the Ft. Bridger Rendezvous on Labor Day weekend, to qualify for any year-end awards.   The more funds that are raised, the better the prizes will be.   Please take the time to help with the fundraising, even if you don’t qualify for any high point  awards.    The Grossman & LaMere members have sold over $500.00 worth of raffle tickets at their local rodeos & county fair.   We need more members to support our organization with this kind of effort!!

Welcome everyone to the 2012 Bits and Spurs show season.  We are looking forward to another great year.  Bits and Spurs provides a great opportunity for us to get out and experience the joy of riding our horses, meeting new people and learning new things.  Lots of fun classes are offered along with the chance to talk to and learn from a wide variety of judges and professionals in the horse world.  Come and join us. Riders, family and spectators, all are welcome.  We look forward to seeing you this summer.  The show schedule will be posted as dates are received.

May 5,    Wind River Riders, Big Piney, WY                                     10 and under Walk Trot

May 19,   Hairy Horse Show, Rock Springs, WY                               13 and younger

June 9,     Sweetwater Classic, Rock Springs, WY                              14 to 18

June 16,  Star Valley Classic, Afton, WY                                    19 and over

June 30,  Flaming Gorge Classic, Green River, WY                    Ages as of January 1st

These shows all will offer a variety of classes with high point awards given at the end of the day for all age groups.  The Bits and Spurs organization also awards great high point buckles for each class at the end of the show season.     If you plan on showing, please join so you will be eligible for these prizes.  Check out the rules for other requirements for qualifying for year-end awards.

Memberships must be received before any points will accumulate, so PLEASE get them in early!!!!    Don’t wait until the morning of the first show!  You may not be able to use your Bits & Spurs number if you wait.  Think ahead & get your dues in to Dari Quirk now.  Dari’s address is on the membership application, available on this website.
